The CCSC has a fleet of over 75 boats available for public and member use. Daily, Annual or Seasonal membership is required to use the boats. Unlimited boat usage is included in the Annual & Seasonal memberships. Guests or non CCSC members can rent boats by paying a daily membership fee of $10/person/day or $25 for a family of 3 or more plus the hourly rental rate.
Hourly Rental Rates:
Kayaks $20
We have three double kayaks available that are great for paddling around our harbor.
Optimist Prams $20We have both Optis and Prams. Optis are the largest youth racing class in the world. They’re great for kids under the age of 15 or 130lbs. Prams are the simplified version of the Opti. They have foam under the fiberglass and a bench to sit on; they also do not have airbags in them.
420′s $35We have a fleet of 8 420′s at our center! 4 are available to members and rentals and the others are used by our youth racing team. These boats are also what we teach our Adult Learn to Sail classes on!
Sunfish $25The Sunfish sailboat is a single handed, beach launching sailing dinghy utilizing a pontoon type hull carrying a lateen sail mounted to an un-stayed mast.- BigFish $25
Our Big Fish is just a bigger version of a Sunfish so it’s perfect for two people.
14′ Hobie Wave Catamaran $35We have 8 14ft Hobie Wave Catamarans. These are great for all ages and skill levels making them some of our most popular boats! They’re easy to sail and even easier to rig.
Laser $35The Laser is one of the most popular single-handed dinghies in the world. It is a high performance boat that is the largest youth and adult racing class internationally. It is a step up from a sunfish, as it requires more agility.
Standup Paddleboard $25
Clearwater Community Sailing Center is now offering standup paddling lessons and rentals. We now have a fleet of twelve boards, 8 Fanatic boards and 4 Bic boards.
16′ Catamaran – Hobie Getaway $45These are our 16ft Catamarans. Unlike the 14ft Waves they have both a jib and main sail & benches for a slightly dryer experience.
17′ Sloop – Daysailer $45
We have multiple Daysailors and a Flying Scot that are sloop style monohulls. They’re great to take the family out on comfortably fitting 3-5 people.
Annual or daily membership
- Participants must pass a multiple choice basic sailing test to demonstrate proficiency. (15 questions, it takes about 5 minutes to complete)
- All participants must follow Clearwater Community Sailing Center policies and regulations.
