-Opti Team
Come join the Clearwater Community Sailing Center’s Opti Teams. The Green Team is the perfect place for you if you just learned how to sail and want to get better, go faster, and have a good time.You’ll learn what it takes to be a beginner racer and participate in regattas here at home and around the state. Next step – Red, White or Blue fleets – Fine tune your sailing skills while you learn how to sail at a higher level of competition.

Cost of the Team: $190 yearly youth membership, $75 a month coaching fee.
CCSC’s travel team that are dedicated to racing and are under the age of 15.
Practice’s during the summer are on Wednesday from 4:00pm- 7:00pm! Come try out the team!

6th-7th ; Allison Jolly Girl’s Regatta @ SPYC
* I wanted to comment on how proud I was of our young female sailors that partisipated in the Allison Jolly Girls Regatta hosted by St Petersburg Yacht Club. Allyon Plessner sailing with Sydney Timm in a 420 and did an outstanding job keeping up with the “big dogs” by finishing in 5th place! Emily Wright sailed her Opti in the Green fleet and after having nearly two first places, finished overall in 5th place! If you see the girls give them a pat on the back because they definitly deserve one.
20TH-21st ; Clark Mills
Since it is hosted in our “backyard” I would highly reccommend everyone attending. Register on http://www.regattaprocessing.com/CLWYC/clarkmills10/index.php. We need parents to volunteer to help out with race commettee, either one day or both!
*Olivia Ceraolo was a member of the Clearwater Yacht Club Sailing Team when at the age of 14 she was diagnosed with bone cancer. She lost her battle with cancer October 16, 2004 but she lives on in the memories of many of us. Zach, Paige and Brooke Railey join the Ceraolo family in asking you to honor Olivia’s memory by donating a non-perishable food item at the Clark Mill Regatta, March 20-22.
